ASAA HIGH POINT AWARDS PROGRAM
One of the benefits of ASAA membership is the High Point Awards Program, which recognizes outstanding horses and riders based on points accumulated in designated classes at ASAA pointed shows.

High Point award winners are determined from the results of all of the ASAA pointed shows. Points are awarded to the first- through fourth-place finishers in qualifying classes.

To be a High Point winner, the owner(s) of the horse listed on the show entry sheet must be a ASAA member. For Equitation, the rider must be a member, since horses are not being judged. Academy riders must also be ASAA members to be pointed. An ASAA member who holds a seasonal lease on a horse which is owned by a non-member CAN be eligible for High Point awards if the lease is noted on the horse show entry sheet. This allowance is intended for riders who lease a horse and show that horse exclusively throughout the season.

Points are not retroactive and start accumulating upon receipt of a paid membership.

Our parent organization, the ASHA, provides annual state awards for pleasure horses in nine categories. These points will be tracked within the High Point Awards Program, but owners must be current members of ASAA to be eligible. If you are not currently an ASAA member, please go to the Members page and/or download the ASAA Membership Application here.
